Higher temperatures lead to warmer and more toxic inland water resources, warn CSIR researchers
Researchers have recently produced an article published in the African Journal of Biotechnology showing a strong positive correlation between the increase in surface water temperature and the increased occurrence of toxic blooms in South Africa's inland water resources.

Cassava breeders benefit from SNP workshop
The ACGT recently hosted an international workshop at the University of Pretoria (UP) aimed at sharing knowledge on the use of molecular tools for cassava breeding - in particular, SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) Marker Technology.
