Local Atmospheric model development initiative receives Stanley Jackson Award
Researchers at the University of Pretoria, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation in Australia, have developed a new atmospheric model that can be used to study the processes occurring within thunderstorms at high spatial resolution.

SERA partner develops a low-cost method for production of antiretrovirals
On World Aids Day, December 1, the CSIR announced that it had successfully developed an economically-competitive route for the local production of a key ingredient in antiretrovirals.
