ACGT Director, Dr Jane Morris has recently been appointed to the BIO-EARN advisory committee. BIO-EARN is the East African regional programme and research network for biotechnology and is funded by SIDA.

The Bio-artificial liver support system project has progressed in leaps and bounds. Established to develop a novel system that will assist patients suffering from acute liver failure, the project has made a number of notable strides towards their goal.
