The SERA Task Team on Sustainable Rural Development - alongside the Greater Giyani Local Municipality - officially launched the Greater Giyani Natural Resource Development Programme in Giyani, Limpopo in April this year.

Dr Mphekgo Maila, a UP graduate and former CSIR employee, has recently been appointed to the National Research Foundation (NRF) as manager of the Technology and Human Resources for Industry Programme (THRIP).
 
SERA Natural Science Forum Co-chair lands top management position at CSIR
The Co-chair of the SERA Natural Sciences Task Teams Forum, Khungeka Njobe, has been appointed as CSIR Group Executive. This follows the departure of Dr Phil Mjwara to the national Department of Science and Technology.
